Gluten-, sugar- and oil-free homemade crunchy granola.

This basic whole food plant-based granola recipe is very easy to make, which you can combine with any kind of nuts, seeds, or dried fruits you like.

I like using buckwheat, because it makes the granola really crunchy, and I often add a little nuts, seeds, or even dried cranberries.

Ingredients

1 cup glutenfree oats

1 cup natural buckwheat groats

1 tbsp sesame seeds

1/2 cup date paste*

1/2 tbsp ground cinnamon (or to taste)

*You can find the date paste recipe here.

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 ° C.

  2. Mix the dry ingredients in a bowl.

  3. Add the date paste and stir well.

  4. Spread the mixture evenly on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  5. Bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown.

  6. Allow to cool completely, then place in an airtight container.

When we take it out of the oven, it will still be a little soft, but as it cools, it will become crispy. If you add dried fruits, I recommend you to stir them in the granola after baking.
